About This Project

JendX is still a very young project. It was created to satisfy a real-world need for indexing and searching documents. JendX is designed to be an easy to use and deploy solution for searching file contents on a networked or local filesystem.

At it's core is code from the Apache Jakarta Lucene project(As of version 1.1). This provides an efficient indexing system and search engine for your files. The objective of this project is to provide access to this functionality in an entirely cross-platform and user-friendly manner.
